SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS:
Autorretrato en super 8 recopila diversos fragmentos filmados desde el año 2005 hasta la actualidad. Es una pieza montada el verano de 2021 que incluye filmaciones nunca exhibidas. Estructuradas alrededor de un retrato (con cámara) hecho ante el espejo, el conjunto de escenas explora métodos cinematográficos para representar una realidad cotidiana. Paseos entrecortados per bosques y escenarios urbanos, trayectos vertiginosos en coche o en tren, contemplaciones ensimismadas de nubes y una chimenea son algunas de las escenas documentadas en color reversible, color negativo y blanco y negro. La ausencia de sonido enfatiza las dinámicas rítmicas de un montaje que combina la edición en cámara (mediante carretes de super 8) y el proceso manual de juntar decenas de tiras de celuloide con recortes adhesivos.
Self-portrait in Super 8 compiles various fragments filmed from 2005 to the present. It is a work edited in the summer of 2021 that includes footage never shown. Structured around a portrait (with a camera) taken in front of the mirror, the set of scenes explores cinematographic methods to represent an everyday reality. Ephemeral walks through forests and urban settings, vertiginous journeys by car or train, thoughtful contemplations of clouds and a fireplace are some of the scenes documented in reversible color, negative color and black and white. The absence of sound emphasizes the rhythmic dynamics of a montage that combines on-camera editing (using super 8 reels) and the manual process of putting together dozens of strips of celluloid with adhesive cutouts.
